Happ Uh capturing impressions as we go Vlog style and we’re saying like walking through this Garden here the smell of flowers is I’ve never been able to smell flowers before like from a distance we came around a corner and there was a really strong smell of what I think was

Um Jasmine Oliver thought it was marijuana I think it’s both I think I did definitely smell smell some SPL this just this Garden here I wish I could turn the camera around whilst I’m shooting but I can’t but this Garden here is beautiful absolutely beautiful

In the sunset it’s to about I don’t know half six Parakeet I love about seever you’re walking down the main drag like this and then you appearance the archway and look there’s a little Magical Garden down there with palm trees in a little Courtyard which we have to go and explore do this is what’s at the end of this little

That they call it TOA TOA with like a whiskey garlic sauce in there it was a bit Rich for breakfast really covered bloody delicious and now we’re just wandering around trying not to trying not to throw up oranges on the trees all around the streets of Seville it’s really Beautiful the house of Alba the Palo deast duas was built between the 15th and 16th centuries for one of the dynasties of the patricians of Seville the house passed through marriage to the Dukes of Alba in the 17th century and has belonged to the house of Alba ever

Since in the 19th century lenus became a guest house and the famous poet Antonio machard was born here in 1875 he wrote a poem remembering his childhood at last Dwas jakaranda hibiscus geranium angel’s trumpet flame tree plumbago honey berry Lantana and B Laurel are just some of the trees growing in the peaceful Gardens and Courtyards That’s the bar where me and Ollie just had our early evening drink L afternoon early evening drink 5:00 only had a glass of Veno Tinto red wine and I had a coffee cafe G leche beautiful it’s great isn’t it I have no idea what this is cool but we would have missed

Stumbled upon this this bizarre architecture like the domes and the blue building and the kind of long overgrown walkways scrolled in graffiti it feels very feels like something out of a William Gibson novel to be honest it’s great This is really busy here isn’t It got to capture these parts of the holiday as well we’ve just done our two episodes of Emily and Paris and double Bill and now we’re having a bit of Veno Tinto that we bought today a €1 bottle of wine which considering you can get them for a EUR

And a half worth the investment that’s expensive it’s nice we tried all the wines haven’t we all the Reds all the well we’ve tried RI and whoever thought that you and I would be oh my Lord be into Emily in Paris oh it’s amazing it’s brilliant it’s kind of the facade

Of a stupid American show it’s actually really good yeah really like it taking everything for me not to watch another episode it’s 20 P one I need to go bed I Know well that’s the massive queue for the Aladar Palace um there’s no way around it I don’t think Video yeah it’s quite difficult yeah we’re going to go to the hospital of the invilet I think it is cuz we can’t get into the uh Palace of Al Kazar that’ll be for another Day the hospital delas venerables or the hospital of venerable priests is a 17th century residence for elderly clergymen the church was built in 1689 and is devoted to San Fernando of castill the first Christian King to live in the alkazar after conquering ceville from The moish Invasion it was entirely painted by Juan

D Valdez Leal and his son Lucas Valdez We’re not sure what’s going on some sort of thing going on in the cathedral lots of people have come down they’ve been down there all afternoon whil we were sitting drinking in the bar I You La Hose all he’s point at those are the barrels of beer and look you see they follow the pipes all the way to the pumps Think Yeah we’re walking up this little uh narrow lanway think this is like one of the Jewish quarters pretty cool these beautiful kind of draping plants up here it’s really lovely Riel alkazar is the oldest active Palace in Europe it was established on the site of a Roman city in the 10th Century by

The Arab Kings of Al andalo who ruled Seville in the Early Middle Ages it’s been a royal residents ever since In 1248 the territory was conquered by the castilians and has continue to be used by the Spanish monarchy ever Since these Gardens are vast and absolutely Incredible he just spectacular come to check us Out Yeah they should have List

  1. Royal old historical palace of real Alcazar ❤it's the UNESCO world heritage site. Thanks to show us…real footage I was waiting for this 😊 It was good to see both of you and Ollie again is writing something…❤Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄 ….😊many good wishes to you and your family members 😀

  2. Beware, the oranges 🍊 on the streets of Seville or Athens or any Mediterranean city you go to, are not edible. If you eat them, you will spit it out, because they’re extremely bitter and are more suited for making marmalade rather than for the human mouth.

  3. What a beautiful city is Seville with some magnificent buildings. especially the Alcazar Palace and the wonderful little squares full of all kinds of flora and fauna. That is somewhere I must go to.Happy Christmas John and your family and look forward to a walking extravaganza during 2024

  4. Today I'm beginning a walk along the length of the River Ribble from The Dales to the Irish Sea, and I'll be wearing my new Sacred River Lea t-shirt which arrived this week.
At work yesterday I met a chap who's running an art project in Morecambe. I was telling him about your channel as my means of remaining connected with London and his response was "Oh, I know John!, he's a lovely man." Apparently you know his partner's mum. Tis a small world when you start talking to people.

  5. I love the architecture and atmosphere on the abandoned island(?) in Seville, I wonder if it was a former exhibition site like I visited in Montreal in 1990, their island was I believe a man-made island built for the world expo in the 70s and then used for the Olympic Games. When I visited I was one of the few visitors, the place was overgrown and I loved exploring among the half-ruined buildings that various nations had built to represent their culture, etc. in the world expo. I have since found out the Island has been "Disneyfied" so I'm glad I experienced it when I did, without the crowds and the commercialism. I've often wondered if these world expos are still taking place (there was also an iconic one in Paris) or if they've stopped. It's like the South Bank festival, so little of it remains apart from the Royal Festival Hall and fountains and garden structures in Battersea Park, when I look at old photographs of these world expos/exhibitions it's so sad to see that virtually everything was dismantled pretty much straight away. PS Oliver is lovely but why does he smoke?! Health is so precious

  6. Seasons greetings to you and yours – Beautiful city well captured – sad in a way as makes me realise how we have taken massive backwards steps in our progress as humans!
