If you have got to this video, you may be asking ‘What to do in Madrid’, and there’s something you cannot miss: the Prado Museum.

We will talk about the greatest paintings you can find inside the museum here in Madrid, but before getting into that, let’s have a look around the surrounding area. If you have booked a tour with us, you will probably cross this entrance, used by many vacationing groups of people.

Then, when you look to your left, you will discover two interesting buildings. The temple is the Jeronimos Church, the place where the kings of Spain used to choose to get married in and one of the few examples of Gothic architecture here in Madrid, even after some damage it took during the Spanish Civil War. The other one is a newer building that is the Prado Museum, called ‘the cube’ and built after the last major expansion. It hosts an amazing Renaissance enclosure of all of their exhibitions. And pay attention to the doors: they stand out because they are made of bronze.
