Mallorcas schönste Wanderungen: Durch die Schlucht zur Cala Gossalba
Hello and welcome. We are here at Cap Formentor on Mallorca and are testing a round trip to a lonely bay, Cala en Gossalba. The bay can only be reached via a wild, dry riverbed. An incredibly beautiful tour. If you feel like it, come with me.
The challenge of the tour is to find a parking space. We are here on the road that leads to Cap Formentor and all hell is breaking loose here. Even if it doesn’t look like it at the moment,
There are a few parking bays here. The parking spaces at the photo points are always overcrowded. But we’re not here to park, we’re here to hike. Let’s go. The first few meters are on the street.
But even here the view is great. It’s amazing how busy there is on this street. Here is the start of the hike – when we come across the road This is what the start looks like. It’s right at this sign And already a great view
You can already see a small stump up there. This is a Mallorcan summit cross. The summit is right at the start of the tour We found the hike at Outdooractive. According to the route description, it is 5 km long.
In some comments it is given as 5 miles. That would be 8 km. Apparently the tour is rarely used and not very touristy. Let’s hope that’s the case. We test it. Here you go up to the summit.
From here you can see the lighthouse at Cap Formentor. The tourists there almost kick each other to death. And we are completely alone here. Here is the rise Oh – the reception committee. Luckily it doesn’t have big horns and it’s not a billy goat
El Fumat, 335 m. Look at the great view. Here you can see Alcúdia and Port de Pollença. What has always amazed me are these summit markers on Mallorca. They look like broken concrete pillars Tomatoes? I’m saying deep things about summit markings
And Julia is talking about the tomatoes on the baguette. Now I don’t know what I wanted to say…. So let’s take a break for now. Now yesterday’s baguettes are eaten first. As good Swabians – you eat the old stuff first 😉 Now we move on, down from the summit
Once we’ve come up, we’ll come down again We’ve reached the bottom. We continue over these hairpin bends. Then the further path would have to branch off in the third hairpin bend. One, two, three… We found the junction. Oh – that’s a dry stream. That’s no way at all?
With all the grass it’s not that easy to find the path. I just checked our hiking map again . This is already marked as a path here. There are also cairns here… and billy goats. There now seems to be a wider path here.
Now it’s a stream bed again. Nice to walk with the big kicks here. It’s really fun to walk over here. A beautiful, surprising, varied and unexpected path. The gorge is also becoming increasingly wild in appearance I didn’t expect this hike to be so adventurous.
That’s why it’s “little visited”. Now the statement on the Internet explains that you don’t meet any tourists here. It looks like you’re in the jungle. Now all that’s missing is that Indian arrows are being shot at us 😉
You can hear the sea roaring up ahead and you can see the dark blue spots. We’ll get to the bay soon. Now things are getting exciting again here. How do we get down there now? And how do we get back up there? Oh, oh a rope?
There was nothing about rope in the route description and the goats were already watching us from above. What a crazy tour. You don’t actually need a rope here. It works well without it – on the ass
Wow. A great route, with such a destination. We have to queer up there now, around the corner and there might even be a sand beach on the other side of the bay. Let’s see. I’m talking so much right now. It’s always like that when I
Like it. Then I talk so much. That means the tour is really good. I think it’s getting exciting now. It looked steep from below. But it’s a lot easier than it looks. You can walk well here. Like on a steep staircase.
Someone hijacked our bay – with a sailing ship. We are no longer completely alone. I don’t understand why they’re so overdressed on board? They’re probably not there for sunbathing. Maybe they are sick? A hospital ship?
We found the way. If you find the way it’s usually easier. Like most things in life. It’s not a sandy beach but a pebble beach. But we have it to ourselves even though we are right here at Cap Formentor.
I’m surprised to see steps here. Maybe the path is a little better developed now. It’s also relatively easy to get to the beach here. That’s our direction now. Now half the distance back, the rest of the route is also very nicely laid out.
The soft forest floor is a great contrast to the many stones in the stream bed. You can walk great here. The path can still be highly praised. We left the forest and immediately we heard engines and noise again. The street is already up there.
This was one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done in Mallorca. Short but incredibly beautiful. If you liked it, we would be happy if you gave us a like, a thumbs up and a subscription.
