Near the Barceloneta is the San Sebastian beach (playa de Sant Sebastià), the oldest in Barcelona. It is located in the Ciutat Vella district.

Well-known sports clubs offer activities related to the maritime environment. With a length of approximately 1,100 meters, it is one of the largest beaches in the city.

It is a very busy beach, both on weekends and during the week. It is frequented by a gay and nudist population. However, it often happens that groups of young people and schools settle there to carry out multiple activities. This beach is therefore known for its mix. In addition, it is easy to reach the beach on foot or by public transport, stopping at the Barceloneta metro stop, which is close to the city center.
