🇬🇧 History and beauty fill every corner of this Royal Site, which is part of the Cultural Landscape of Aranjuez, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Surrounded by a total of 111.23 hectares of gardens, the Royal Palace of Aranjuez has been the country residence par excellence of the Spanish Kings.
Throughout the 18th century, the Kings of Spain renovated the Royal Site of Aranjuez, enriching it with the Garden of the Prince (Jardín del Príncipe). It is a large park to the northeast of the Palace, measuring 150 hectares, delimited by the sinuous course of the Tagus, and notable for its botanical wealth.
Its name is due to Carlos IV, who ordered it to be built when he still held the title of Prince of Asturias, preserving previous elements, such as the Spring orchard and the Fernando VI pier.
At an architectural level, this large garden has monumental neoclassical style entrance doors, the work of the great architect Juan de Villanueva. Before reaching the Tagus River, you can see the old Spring Garden.

🇪🇸 Historia y belleza llenan cada rincón de este Real Sitio, que forma parte del Paisaje Cultural de Aranjuez, declarado Patrimonio Mundial por la UNESCO. Rodeado por un total de 111,23 hectáreas de jardines, el Palacio Real de Aranjuez ha sido la residencia campestre por excelencia de los Reyes españoles.
A lo largo del siglo XVIII los Reyes de España renovaron el Real Sitio de Aranjuez, enriqueciéndolo con el Jardín del Príncipe. Se trata de un amplio parque al noreste del Palacio, de 150 hectáreas, delimitado por el curso sinuoso del Tajo, y que sobresale por su riqueza botánica.
Su nombre se debe a Carlos IV, que lo mandó construir cuando todavía ostentaba el título de Príncipe de Asturias, conservando elementos anteriores, como la huerta de la Primavera y el embarcadero de Fernando VI.
A nivel arquitectónico, este amplio jardín posee unas puertas de entrada de estilo neoclásico monumentales, obra del gran arquitecto Juan de Villanueva. Antes de llegar al río Tajo, puede verse la antigua huerta de la Primavera.
