24 Hours in Andalusia’s Capital Seville, Spain: An Open-Air Museum | Travel Guide
[Music | Intro] The Royal Palace of Seville, also known in Spanish as Real Alcázar, is a stunning palace in the heart of Seville. To this day, it is still in function as a royal palace, making it one of the oldest in Europe. The architectural style of the Royal Palace has a strong influence of the Moorish culture. This is clearly reflected in one of the more famous parts of the palace, the Patio de las Doncellas. The palace has also been the setting for several
Movies and television series. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1987. Despite the rare rain in Seville, it was definitely a highlight of our trip. From this Royal Palace we go to, for some locals, their sacred palace. [Music | Ambiance] After seeing Sergio Ramos, one of my childhood idols, it was time for our first night and morning, in our cozy apartment in the heart of the city center. Incredibly close to the Cathedral of Seville, and for a really cheap price,
You could even see its tower from the rooftop terrace. It was time to explore, but not before storing our belongings safely at ”Stow Your Bags”, which happened to be across the street from our apartment. And of course, a good breakfast cannot be forgotten. With a solid breakfast, we headed to the next breathtaking location in Seville. This crescent-shaped square called Plaza de España is one of Seville’s most famous and scenic squares. It is absolutely breathtaking, but like many places in Seville, the visiting time is best early in the morning. Because it can get very crowded and hot in the afternoon. Seville’s cathedral, is a beautiful Gothic cathedral, and is the scene of our next destination. Before viewing the interior of the cathedral, we first climb the La Giralda Tower. The interior of the cathedral is incredibly wealthy decorated. The symmetrical architecture, the details and the altar are absolutely breathtaking. It is therefore understandable that it can also be incredibly crowded. Booking tickets with a time slot is necessary. Also, get in line on time due to longer waiting times. From this magnificent cathedral, it is a short hop to Seville’s historic bustling old town. Many restaurants, bars and real authentic cozy squares. The Santa Cruz district has it all, for tapas and wine, this is the place to be. In these cute little streets, we are going to end our video. We had an amazing 24 hours in this beautiful city. We are going to eat some more Paella and we thank you for watching. Be sure to subscribe and like the video! Until next time with Ursus Brown Travel. [Music | Outro]
