Hotel Panorama / Don Miguel Apts – A HIDDEN GEM in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca

So if you’ve been watching my videos you’re going to know that Puerto poienza is not necessarily the cheapest place to stay in in Majorca if you’re coming here on holiday so I’m in a slightly residential area I’m right behind the beach but I’m going to show you a Hidden

Gem and the possibility that if you are traveling here on the budget that I found a really good value hotel for you so let’s go and check it out now you can see right in front of me you’ve got some lovely Mountain views here but I’m going to turn around

You can see it’s in my right hand side the huge Cabot poyenza Park Spa but this is not the hotel that we’re going to have a look at today So to my right hand side we’ve got the hotel Panorama and the apartmentos Don Miguel now this three key apartment hotel has what looks like some very spacious rooms actually in some nice Terraces now they do do a breakfast here between 8 and 10 a.m they’ve got a lovely seating area

Outside and as you can see just walking down the side of the hotel there’s a swimming pool here too and this hotel is so much cheaper than the other top hotels in Puerto poyenza and has fantastic reviews on TripAdvisor and hotel booking websites with customers rating it as amazing

Now this hotel is also very popular with cyclists I’ve just seen a few come past there’s little bike park here as well where you can lock your bikes up for the evening or you can just pop in here for a pizza or a sandwich so right outside of the hotel you’re in

A great little location here because if you are hiring a car then there’s a free car park right across the road right next door I can see that there’s a restaurant now this is something that you just do not get anywhere else in Puerto poyenza

And I can see they do paellas here for 11 Euros now this price for a paella was maybe from 2019. it’s great to see that they have not massively put their prices up I’d love to come and try paella here and see what it’s like now I’m outside the Leon Dorado the

Golden Lion snack bar you can see there’s a pool table here they’ve also got a whole separate menu too so if you want to come down here for lunch I can see salads are from seven euros Tapas dishes are from eight You can get pizzas a good old pizza margarita is just eight Euros so you can see like the restaurants here are just a little bit cheaper along this end of town than they are maybe down in at the end of the port I mean they even have lasagna chips and salads for 10 euros which is fantastic value and you can even get not only a sandwich with chips and salads for 6.25 but also a full English breakfast which I’ll do until midday for nine euros this does look like it’s got some

Entertainment at night you can see their advertising a live singer here Emma Rossi so during the summer months you’re going to find some Life music here too we’ve got a great seating area as well and all of this is right next door to the hotel at panorama

If you’re here with the family and it’s late at nights and the kids need to burn off some energy there’s a little tiny kids park here right next door too and if you’re looking for some more up Market drinks then maybe you can head over to the ik banner cocktail bar

Now in my opinion this is a real Gem of an area they’ve got everything that you want here you’ve got a little cocktail bar it’s not looking very open at the moment it looks like they’re doing a little bit of a refurbishment work on it during the day But what a great place to stay just right outside of the center of Puerto puyenza okay so from this hotel from the Panorama Don Miguel we’re going to see how far away we are from the beach Now I can see the sea in the distance but I can also see that we’re coming up to a few more shops here so let’s go and check them out on the way to the beach got a bike Stop Cafe they’re also advertising live entertainment here the

Saints of sports bar too really good to know I can see they have an Elvis Presley style singer here on the Sunday night from 9 30. but yes they also show the sports here as well so if you’re looking at watching the football this is a great

Place to come and I’m at The Palms bar here just Paces away from the hotel panorama let’s keep on walking now it’s great to see that there’s also some beach shops A Little Spa shop here too you can come and pick up some ice cream some snacks and drinks

Got all the stuff for the beach here now right next to the spa shop too we’ve got the bond that Dia sports and entertainment bar somewhere else that you can also watch the football we’ve got passing it a few more bars as well I’ve got a wine bar a Solly Marty

And I can see too that they also do tea coffee tea or coffee with cake for six euros and a whole range of snacks and lunches too so they do a great menu at deldare here at the solimar and for 15 euros you can get your starters main course and dessert

For just this one fixed price so you’re gonna be able to pick up plenty of seafood and a great dessert too just coming up past another little Spa shop here too And the marina restaurants who which it says serves a food all day I can say there’s a lovely Courtyard here let’s go and check it out I’ve got main courses here you’ve got Burgers from 14 euros a little bit more expensive you’ve got paellas here for 14 euros 20 which is kind of the normal price on the island and I’m just saying they’ve got spaghetti dishes as well from around 12 euros too

With Tapas starting from around 11 Euros 15. Now this is a great location you can see that we’re probably about 10 minutes 10 to 15 minutes walk down into the center of Puerto poyenza along this lovely Promenade this lovely walkway which is lined with even more restaurants and beach bars but just check out the views

From here and all of this is just a two minute walk from this three-star hotel an apartment block okay so it’s just a short video today but I really wanted to show you that you can get value for money up here in Puerto poyenza and judging by the trip

Advisor reviews well the hotel Panorama really does offer a really good value stay and it’s super friendly as well it’s super clean and it’s family run too which is just a bonus now you can stay in the more expensive cobot Spa Palace Hotel which is just across the road but

As you can see you’re you’re just in a great location here you’re two minutes from the beach and you’re within spitting distance of the nearest bars and restaurants too again the port is just like a 10 or 15 minute walk away so if you want to walk down to the market

Or you want to do the pine walk as well then it’s not too far away also you’re a little bit closer to if you want to walk up to Alcudia old town it’s another five or six kilometers from here but really it makes a great day out if the weather

Is say a little bit cooler then you can do that walk there are also several tib buses along this route as well so it’s super easy to get the bus all the way up to Alcudia old town as well if you’re looking for a day out and you can also

Get the bus as well from this Main Road here which will take you over to poyenza okay so if you want to see more about the site seeing that you can do by bus up here in the north east of the islands please click on this video that you can

In this video join me as I discover the Hotel Panorama – a hidden gem in Puerto Pollensa Mallorca (Majorca), Spain.

Not only have I found a great hotel that is half the price of its luxurious neighbour but it is surrounded by some great value-for-money bars, cafes and restaurants.

Plus it’s only a three-minute walk from Puerto Pollensa’s main beach and a 10-minute walk into the Puerto Pollensa centre.

Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollença) is considered by many out of reach price-wise due to its fantastic location, historical hotels and popularity with British travellers which goes back to the early 20th Century, so you’d be mistaken to think you cannot enjoy a value for money stay here.

  1. What a fantastic surprise for Sunday morning Alex. I actually stayed in that hotel a million years ago. It was one of the allotted on arrival deals. I also thought the area was brilliant as well

  2. lovely video, thanks alex! im staying at hotel panorama in april 2023 for the 3rd time it cost me just £35 per night b&b booked through travelrepublic! ive also stayed in the appartments don miguel in october 2022, which were lovely also.If these are full, i can recommend Habitat Appartments, about 15mins walk away, which are lovely too.

  3. Thanks for the visit to Puerto Pollensa. Made my day. La Maina restaurant is great. The food is delicious and I always go there at least once during my holiday and never been disappointed

  4. We have stayed at this hotel a large number of times over the last ten years, As a result we have got to know all the family who own the hotel quite well so well in fact that they have become friends of ours as a result. Incredibly family, incredible people. A special mention to Juana, who's smile lights up the world. Not forgetting all the staff who have worked there for years, including Liviu who again is a special individual. Looking forward to seeing you all this spring, keep a room for us! Cliff & Desiree

  5. That looks a lovely place to stay! I am going to have to come back to this video again when I look at booking somewhere in that area! Sounds brilliant and lovely that it’s family run!

  6. Hi Alex, we've been looking to book somewhere in Mallorca for summer but the prices are ridiculously high in my opinion, we've found somewhere in Tenerife lots cheaper But really want to visit Mallorca again because it feels like it's our nice place if you get what I'm saying, we're gona hold off amd watch prices closely, we fancied santa ponsa this time so keeping fingers crossed, just don't want to kill myself working all hours just for one week away it's a tough one this year I be honest x

  7. I have never stayed in PP, we're always in the old town at Pollensa. Great to see some affordable alternatives. Thanks for sharing Alex. It's such a fabulous resort for so many reasons. 🌊⛱️

  8. Hi Alex I know this area. Beautiful PP it's absolutely stunning town my favorite place. That sports bar palms is absolutely brilliant spot at nite. I've been last October it was so fun. Great memories here and great video too 🙂

  9. Ahhhhh always lovely to see my favourite place in the world 🥰
Im in Tenerife atm, practicing my Spanish ready for PP in July! 24⁰ here today but it feels more like 240! 😁
Thanks for this video Alex ☺️ x

  10. Great to see this area being recognised, it's a little gem of bars and restaurants run by the owners, which is true of other parts of town once you get out of the main drag – there are plenty of value for money places if you go 5-10mins from the seafront. It's also worth walking along the seafront away from the centre – Lllenaire is 5 mins walk from here and there are splendid restaurants, such as Siurell, Swing, Can Josep – and a good beach bar there.

  11. Thanks for this, was beginning to doubt if it was feasible to continue going back to PP but, the options you’ve shown are worth considering – Many Thanks 👍

  12. My mum passed away just before Christmas and this was her goto holiday – We will try and visit PP in September this year, pretty sure the tears will flow for all the family

  13. Alex – If you're passing by the Capri in PP during the 1st week of May we have that drink saved for you. No mum but lots of happy memories (see comment below)
