Over the course of four days, the Calle San Sebastian is filled with music, dance, and artisans sharing the best of what Puerto Rico has to offer.

  1. it's good to know there are choices for Vegans. I would like to visit Puerto Rico. I need to brush up on my spanish for sure. Do you haggle on food prices or just things you buy at the market. I don't think I've ever seen anyone haggle over food prices. I don't think I every wood since most of the food seems to be made from scratch. but I would like to know your thoughts on it

  2. Looked like a heap of fun, even though they were all 'loco'. Interview was great as it gave me a chance to listen to the Puerto Rican accent; same with the guy who had his family business. He was cool……..

  3. Very nice. You captured the spirit of San Sebastian Street festivities. The music, the color, the food, the artesanies. Coherent, comprehensive. Very good footage and better editing. Congrats.

  4. My Spanish is not yet good enough to have followed all of the conversation May had with the woman telling her about the festival. So, who do the big heads represent? Fun video!

  5. My husband and I have lived here for over a year now and we had the great privilege of attending this year! It was incredible! I just need to really start focusing on learning Spanish. It’s so hard when everyone switches to English for you! The people are so accommodating and amazing here and I absolutely love it!

  6. I'm SO glad you guys made it to the festival; I've been looking forward to this video for months! I wasn't able to go this year, but hopefully I'll be able to attend again next year. Great video, glad you enjoyed the festival so much!

  7. Creo q faltó contenido al video, no sentí plasmada la euforia Boricua. By the way el sorullito de maíz tiene queso por dentro y el arroz con gandules se veía genial 🤷🏻‍♂️.

  8. We have a similar festival on San Sebastián's Day – January 20th here in Mérida, Yucatán. This is held next to the church of San Sebastián in the barrio of San Sebastián.

  9. The last time I attended these fiestas was in the 90s when it was a 2-week messy crowded sea of humanity. Someone groped me so bad walking back to the car that I felt I was given a rectal. Never again.

  10. Each Puerto Rican town has a unique Spanish idiom (e.g. how do you ask for coffee). Many even have their own local dialect but you have to ask those 60yrs+. A fun video series would be to compare these and their history to other similar idioms across the Spanish speaking world.

  11. Buenas tardes amigos. Les felicito por su video. Es muy ilustrativo de las tradiciones de Puerto Rico. Una clarificación: España nunca tuvo colonias en América sino territorios de ultramar, que eran provincias de España. SALUDOS

  12. In Puerto Rico there is live music and food all over the place. Casinos in San Juan and Fortune Beach. The Carribe Hilton was the most exciting Hotel I have ever seen with live entertainment, dance club, casino, with breathtaking beach landscaping with big pool and several jacuzzis. The staff walks up to you to see if you want drinks. Best time I ever had.

  13. How nice that the president who so much damage did to Puerto Rico, Donald "Il Duce" Trump, for now is gone. Withdrawing federal funding from Puerto Rico was after the hurricane was as insensitive as it could be. Further, seeing Trump in the news at the island, after the big hurricane, throwing paper towels to people who were in need of food made me feel intense hatred for Trump, even though I live in Ohio and I am not of Puerto Rican ancestry. Same reaction against Trump for slapping Puerto Ricans in the face which I found when I visited Puerto Rico's sister island, Cuba, last year.
