Then I Stumbled Upon the Sierra Nevada Mountains (And Oldie But Goodie ~ 2016)

In February 2016 I spent ten days in Death Valley and then headed west without really looking at the map. I was delighted and surprised to stumble upon the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Here are a few images from my time there (but not all). Back then I was living in Mitzi, my lovely little Mitsubishi Montero Sport, some of you may remember her.

  1. Stunning landscapes, sunsets and night skies. I tried to pick a favorite, but in the end found it to be an impossible task. The 'letter-box' views were also a nice effect. You have a wonderful eye for composition and the mood music was just the perfect touch~*
    Kindest Regards,

  2. I love this video! Just found your channel and subscribed immediately. I too was there this Spring and camped from Mammoth Lakes to the Volcanic Tablelands outside Bishop to the Alabama Hills outside Lone Pine. Thank you for sharing your talent and capturing the beauty of the Eastern Sierra Nevadas Roxy. Great job!

  3. ..Some people like to be near the mountains. Some people want to be near the mountains. And some people need to be near the mountains. They say the mountains are the dwelling place of the Gods. Thank you so much for showing us your piece of heaven. It filled my "need" of having a mountain fix for the day. Kinda makes the desert look a little sad in comparison hey ? What a great memory this day must have given you.

  4. I have read that wolverines might be moving back into the Sierras, and Northern Utah. There has been some sightings. What a great thing that would be. They are true survivors

  5. Recently discovered you. Enjoying greatly. Wish I had your skill as a photographer and had your camera 🙂 I just returned from a 2 week back pack in the Sierra Nevada Mts followed by a 4 wk van camping trip. I love the Alabama Hills. You got some gorgeous shots there and the winter Mountains with snow at sunrise and sunset—so beautiful. I am researching how to set up a blog to showcase my art, writings and trips so am impressed with how yours is arranged interweaving between blog, vlog and gallery. I subscribed.

  6. Believe it or not I’m watching this again. Your videos bring such peace when I’m sitting here staring at these damn computer monitors all day 😊… those sunsets, sunrises, mountains of snow … the rock formations…Camp Buttermilk, what a cute name …
