San Sebastian Spain 🇪🇸: Join me for a spanish beach walk on Spain’s #1 beach La Concha (Playa de la Concha) in San Sebastian in the Spanish Basque Country, in the summer of 2022 (August). After a short introduction, this is an uncut beach walk.

All rankings for Spanish beaches are different, because the people who make them are different and prefer different things, but La Concha is almost always included and frequently comes out on top, for example in

So why this beach in the North of Spain, on the Atlantic Coast, is so popular? How about its fine golden sand, its sweeping views of the La Concha bay with beautiful historic buildings, its characteristic sophisticated white promenade, its clean water, its immediate proximity to San Sebastian’s city centre with its many bars, restaurants and night clubs? This spot is begging to be instagrammed. La Concha definitely merits its place amongst the world’s top city beaches and IMHO clearly beats the city beaches of Barcelona. (Disagree? Apart from swimming and sun bathing (not topless), Playa de La Concha is definitely also a great spot for people watching. Walking on this beach is popular not only with Spanish girls and boys, but also the tourists from many countries including neighbouring France. Tourism is a vital part of San Sebastian’s economy.

But if you are looking for a spot to surf in Spain, you will be better served with the nearby Zurriola Beach.
