On the south eastern coast of Spain, the port city of Valencia lies on the Turia River where it meets the Mediterranean Sea. Stylish architecture, both old and new, await the curious tourist.
No visit to Valencia would be complete without visiting the large Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias complex of buildings. A day or more is easily spent seeing all on offer.
Of worthy note is L’Oceanogràfic, one of the worlds best aquarium parks, a day trip in itself.
