Explore the unique beauty of ‘Cap de Formentor’ in the northern tip of Mallorca, Spain where the top end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range kisses the Mediterranean. Cap de Formentor literally means ‘end of Formentor’ – the name of the 20-kilometre peninsula, northeast of the port of Pollença.
A windswept lighthouse stands on this promontory and, although it’s not open to visitors, you can walk around its rocky surroundings, looking out to the cliffs where Eleonora’s falcons nest in the winter. You can also spot seabirds in their thousands during migration periods.
