No place in Spain will you ever read that this is a castle! It is very clearly and continuously known as Palacio de Oriente. How could you miss that!
That is not a cathedral! It is merely the king's private Chapel.
If you travel in Spain you will see dozens of castles. You will also see dozens of palaces. Please do not confuse the two. One is a military defense device and the other is a luxury home
Palacio Real de Madrid (PALACE) is also known as PALACIO de ORIENTE (PALACE)
In zero places is this building called a CASTLE.
This was a fun trip. I know most Americans go to Barcelona, but I loved Madrid!
