      It's so interesting to see people from other countries comment about their Basque roots- I wonder how many Asians like me with Basque roots exist

      One of my last names has always been difficult to pronounce for many people, because it's basque. However this ancestry is so diluted that I had no idea it was an independent nation for years. It looks lovely. The meaning of my last name apparently means "place where the grass grows" which is pretty funny, but seeing the greenery here it does make sense.

      Basques really want to know their old history …
      Your basque has the same order of Korean language..this related to your history and Korean ancient history with ancient languages ( Gojoseon:The first Korean nation and after that: Byeo kingdom and The Goguryeo Dynasty: Bc450~Ad 668):
      바스크인들의 언어가 한국어 어순과 똑 같고 삼족오 고인돌 같은 고조선 부여 고구려 의 유물과 언어가 지슷하다는것은
      옛날 같은 민족형제이였다는 것을 뜻합니다. :Korea
      (고조선-> 부여-> 고구려->) 서쪽-> 서쪽->헝가리 -> 바스크.

      A very nice and complete video, pointing out several aspects of a complex society (they all are), good insights of the old and new, capturing a modern and vibrant society that at the same time strongly respects its roots, language, culture, food, wellbeing, respect for nature and hard work, do not forget Basque Country invests 2% in innovation, over the European average, and well over Spanish average.

      This is an excellent documentary, I really enjoyed it. As a basque myself, I love finding these videos because they introduce the Basque Country to many people.
      Anyone who might be considering visiting the Basque Country, you are more than welcome. You'll find fantastic gastronomy, people, places, and culture.

      In Euskal Herria we don't call those small dishes "tapas", they are "pintxos". Tapas is a term used from the Ebro river to the south of the iberian peninsula.

      I’m Ab Rh- and so are my kids but both of their mothers were o+ . My DNA search said I’m 70 percent SpanishEuropa/ Basque. So I’m really looking to move from America to Spain or Basque Country

      Basque language and Tamil language are get more similarities in their languages… Ex. Father, Mother and etc… if any doubts check in Google translator…

      Now and then people insist I'm part Basque. Thought it weird at first since I'm Okinawan. But learned Basques had colonies in Philippines and tried Taiwan & Okinawa but failed.
      Been curious ever since. The bone structure of face & body seems familiar, the mannerisms & facial expressions. I got the nose & cheeks, but not skin. Not committing to it though, need proof.

      Them considering only basque speakers to be basque isnt always true because only 28% of all the Inahbitants of the whole basque country even speak the language

      Lol I saw that green cross earlier in the background and wondered if Steve would notice. Obviously he did. I was more of a Globe Trekker guy than a Rick Steve’s guy at the time unfortunately.His show still runs on PBS and my mom watches it from time to time. I love upsetting her by telling her that he smokes weed. Love you Steve!

      I am here in San Sebastián now!!! I've studied them a bit over the last year but have not seen this video yet. it's 7am Saturday . gonna go out on a trail run and then check out the city for my first full day 1 .
