Scenic driving in Crater Lake National Park in southern Oregon. We begin at the south entrance station and head north on Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway (Munson Valley Road) up to the Lake near Rim Village Visitor Center. From there we head over to Crater Lake Lodge on Rim Village Drive. After that we jump down to Oregon Route 62 (Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway/Crater Lake Highway) and head west from the park entrance and end on Oregon Route 230 (Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway).

  1. I’ve been there last year mid may. It’s beautiful. The drive and Crater Lake itself. Your pictures are better then mine. Another fantastic drive and video. Keep up this stunning work ❤

  2. I always look forward to your new videos. In this work, the blue sky, the deep green of the trees, and the whiteness of the remaining snow are wonderful.

  4. This is quite a different video for you, "AED". I'd say that it's a whopping 98% of forest colonnades, none of your trademark wide-open vistas. Some folks could get antsy, with the seeming "monotony", but not me. This mixed-conifer melange, is far thicker, far lusher than its counterparts in the Sierra Nevada; there's more species, that don't quite follow the elevational rules-of-thumb as in the Sierra; and, the colonnades often exceed 150'!

I believe that you've covered nearly all of California's 395; it's high time to give Oregon's 395 the same treatment, starting with Lake Abert, and its Abert Rim. Then, much of the remaining route skirts the Oregon Outback, with heavy punctuation by Ponderosa savanna, then ending up in the Coulee provinces.

  5. Love your videos.

I wondered what camera and mount you're using. I'm looking for something to put on my bike for trail-riding and not happy with the sharpness, clarity, etc. Appreciate any advice!
