This place was unlike ANYTHING I’ve ever seen before! From dense rainforest, to stunning beaches, a rich cultural history and also one of the safest places in Colombia, Tayrona National Park is definitely one of my top recommendations for places to visit in Colombia. Whether you choose to enter through the super touristy entrance called El Zaino or go more off the beaten track like I did through Calabazo, there is a lot to consider before making your trip, especially if you’re planning on staying overnight. Beautiful, thank you very much for coming to Colombia, just one thing: the hottest summer season in Colombia is June, July and August.
Wow, say that to God that she glanced at nature from around some bushes and she gave it a score of 8.5. One the most paradisiac places in the world. There are silly people in this world, especially white people when they are scoring other places that are not home to them. The view was 8.5 because, from her standpoint it was not wide open to appreciate it. It was her view not the nature part. She's not that intelligent, telling her susbscriber something that is not, even in front of our eyes. She's is from Canada as lost as gringos. If I see Niagara Falls around some greenery covering 85% of the view, would I say the Falls is 8.5 score. What stupidity.
People shouldn't hike through this entrance to Tayrona Park. It's off the beaten path. You will enter through the back and have to walk still back to Cabo San Juan which is the last main accommadationn area. If you enter through the other entrance EL ZAINO you will encounter some nice beaches views first and you get to la Piscina Beach, a most beautiful beach where you're allowed to swim and cool down before you get to Cabo San Juan. Going through the Calabaso entrance you hike through jungle and some muddy paths. It's your pick on the entrances part.

Dear Alina: I watched and loved your video for two reasons; me and my wife are planning to spend some vacations in the Caribbean coast so researched about Cartagena, Santa Marta and Tayrona Natl. Park . Then your video came up and i liked it very much; but two questions came to my mind: .."What is this girl doing walking alone in the middle of that wilderness, putting herself in in such dangerous situation..? I say this because we are Colombians living in the States for more than 30 years and we know how the things are there. The other question was…"Is not this the girl who made some videos one or two years ago about her father's small town in Saskatchewan Canada..?; and two days later I saw the other video telling your bad experience walking along the highway to El Rodadero. Thanks God it wasn't worst but i will make a comment on that too. God Bless you.

Thank you for sharing your trip and your courage to take this trail alone. I love doing it but I don't know if I could go alone like you did. You're so brave! Let's travel together sometime! lol . I also love quieter beaches and they are so rare nowadays. You mentioned Thailand but my experience there was not good. Overcrowded and loud beaches just like the ones in Brazil where I live. I dream of a quiet beach like this one in Tayrona park!!
