Riding the Sierra Nevadas of Spain | S01E21:
Our motorcycle journey continues along the coast of southeastern Spain where we witness the deplorable living conditions of housing for migrant field workers, see the world’s largest concentration of green houses, and ride some of the most wonderful motorcycle roads through the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

  1. Video of contrasts, sadness at first and beauty at the end. Sierra Nevada has the highest paved road in Europe, climbing to Veleta Peak at 3.395 meters above sea level. It is common to see future new car models camouflaged, conducting high-altitude testing

  2. Really enjoyed this video and appreciate your comment about the migrant farmworkers community. Although we have done well and live a comfortable American life, my wife is a grand-daughter of a California migrant farmworker and I am from a very poor family. I know the motorcycle community has this thing about avoiding politics, which is a bit nonsensical statement since the statement in itself is a political stance and statement. As an immigration scholar and specialist, I am familiar with the story of agricultural migrant workers and their migrations in Europe, but I have never seen the area up close as you both have. My speciality is Filipino global migration and most Filipinos live in major cities such as Barcelona and Spain. Someday I hope to travel to where you have been and see for myself the "Mar de Plastico." BTW, there is a TV series on Netflix with that same name. Quite eye-opening.

Still, I am glad that you had an enjoyable ride along the rest of the journey. Lucky you for seeing wildlife (goats) along the road.

Am very happy for you both… Cheers! 🙂
