Mallorca is commonly known for its beautiful beaches. But Mallorca wasn’t elected best island in Europe just for its beaches. There is so much more you can do here.
Like visiting unspoiled little towns set in a mountain range that was awarded World Heritage Status by UNESCO.
In this video we explore Valldemossa, commonly known as the most beautiful town in Mallorca and one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
It only takes 30 minutes to drive here from the capital Palma de Mallorca, and not only the town but the drive itself is worth it.
You slowly get immersed in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range until you spot Valldemossa’s distinctive towers. And the view is gorgeous.
We recommend Valldemossa as a must see destination when travelling to Mallorca in low season.
Valldemossa is also the perfect pit stop in summer when driving to one of the beaches in the Sierra de Tramontana mountain range, like the famous Cala Deia or Port de Soller.
In alternative you can choose off the radar Port de Valldemossa, Valldemossa’s own little port that is around 20 minutes away by car. With less tourists here compared to Cala Deja and other beaches, you can enjoy a relaxing swim surrounded by mountains.
You can also have a tasty dinner with sea view at Restaurant Es Port de Valldemossa :

Since it’s the only restaurant in the tiny port, make sure they have room for you before going there! We chose the seafood paella and we really enjoyed it.
