Welcome to the Formetor Peninsula, which is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Mallorca, Spain. We are only a few kilometers from the town of Pollenca, and we are heading to the most photogenic place on the island, Cap de Formentor. Our trip starts at the wonderful viewpoint of Cala Figuera by the rocky tunnel. We will explore together the path that leads above the tunnel, from where there is a wonderful view of the Sierra de Tramontana. This place is for adventurers who want to experience adrenaline. The rocky tunnel is 200 meters long, the road is very narrow and full of switchbacks, careful driving is recommended. In the summer months, the road between the beach and the lighthouse is closed every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., in winter there are no restrictions. Cap de Fromentor can also be reached by bus number 334, which runs 1-2 times from Alcúdia, Port de Pollenca and Cala Figuera. The place where the Formetor lighthouse stands is the northernmost point of the entire island. It is actually the end of the Formentor peninsula, which is 20 km long. In good weather, you can see neighboring Menorca and the north and west of Mallorca from here. The lighthouse is not accessible, but you can walk nearby and enjoy views of the rocky cliffs and the sea. We also recommend Es Colomer, where there is a wonderful view of Cap de Formentor and the north of Mallorca.
