Enjoy the tranquility of these gardens adjacent to the Royal Palace. They are set in a beautiful layout and represent the Neoclassical style. Opened to the public in 1978, they now serve as a perfect place for a break from sightseeing of Madrid. Among other interesting things in the gardens, you can visit mazes, see some sculptures, or just sit down and enjoy the view of Royal Palace’s facade. Why Sabatini? These gardens should commemorate the famous Italian architect, Francesco Sabatini, who was the designer of Madrid’s royal stables that once stood here. The gardens also serve as an outdoor stage for the annual event Los Veranos de la Villa, full of various performances, mainly flamenco.
