Toward the end of my visit to Madrid I decided to spend a day at the Prado Museum. I had been there before and remembered it as being one of the most beautiful museums in the world. I was not disappointed. The museum has a great collection of paintings, including some of my favorite pieces, as well as sculptures and murals. The building itself is spectacular, and the grounds are well-maintained. Visiting the Prado is definitely a must if you are in Madrid.
