La Sagrada Familia

La Sagrada Família (Catalan, ‘The Holy Family’) is a large Roman Catholic basilica under construction in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Its formal title is Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família. Antoni Gaudí worked on the project for over 40 years, devoting the last 15 years of his life entirely to this endeavour.

The date of my filming was on 12 June 2007.

  1. in college i learnt that there was supposed to be a tower two or three times the height of the the front two towers but the blueprints got burnt by some guys 30 years or something later after gaudi's death

  2. went to barcelona last week on over easter. place is amazing. really arty. it's like a giant skatepark too lol. gaudi's work is sooooo good his work really stands out to all the other buildings and stuff

  3. Me parece que te equivocas, porque sí, se escribe igual, pero el nombre es en catalán. Lo único es que coincide en los dos idiomas.

I think you're mistaken, because yes, it's written the same, but the name is in catalan. The thing is that it's the same in both languages.

  4. That thing is so UGLY that it looks like something I would see in the depths of hell! It's so ugly that it would make a child cry! Castle Dracula looks less evil than that!

  5. @TheMarkOfTheBeast1 man seriously… have you seen the interior of it??? Its jaw-dropping!!! If you say its ugly, it means you have your vision really fucked up and you need surgery.

However I'll concede that the nativity facade looks dirty and old because its indeed more than 100 years old and needs to be painted and restored

  6. @chipietrina Pues yo creo todo lo contrario XD, la Sagrada Familia es una pedazo de obra de arte, y Barcelona en cambio es bastante coñazo y demasiado cool y moderna para mi gusto
