WHAT’S INSIDE OF ROYAL PALACE OF MADRID

Hola amigos, estoy ahora en madrid
Hoy visitare del palacio riyal de madrid.

Surprisingly, visiting the palace wasn’t initially on my agenda when I planned my trip, but I discovered it’s just an 8-minute walk from Plaza Mayor. So, I decided to grab a ticket. However, I realized later that I mistakenly booked it through a third-party seller called headout.

After booking, I curiously checked the official website, Patrimonio Nacional, and found they sell tickets for a self-guided tour at €14, which was €3.90 cheaper than what I paid. Enough savings for a tapas sandwich!

Despite headout marketing the ticket as a “skip the line” option, it turns out all online purchases queue at the same entrance.

Lesson learned: for anyone planning to visit the palace, go directly to the official website to save some money.

Before diving into the palace, let me show you the outside perimeter, starting with Calle de Bailen, which hosts the Cathedral de Santa Maria la Real de la Almudena. Plaza de la Armería separates it from the Royal Palace.

Along Calle de Bailen, you’ll find the Santiago Gate, where you can buy last-minute walk-in tickets. Then there’s the Prince’s Gate, adjacent to Plaza de Oriente, where the statue of Felipe IV proudly stands.

I entered the Santiago Wing to access Plaza Armenia within the Royal Palace compound. It’s a vast space!

Now, let’s explore the wonders inside the Royal Palace of Madrid.

Hasta proxima vez, amigos
