My Solo Winter Trip To Palma De Mallorca | Spain

welcome to Palma de Mallorca this Mediterranean Island’s stunning Capital built right on the coastline of boasting a world-class culinary scene enchanting Beauty amazing culture a vibrant lifestyle full of history and is definitely one of the best winter destinations in the world first things first for me this morning I am heading to the market to have a coffee because one of my favorite things to do is to go to the market and have a nice coffee and just enjoy the morning it is pretty cold out that’s why I’m wearing this big scarf and it was raining earlier so it’s supposed to warm up shortly I wanted to already be over a coffee hours ago it’s like 8 A.M but I was gonna go at six but it was too cold and it was raining then so I decided to wait till now release this light outside so yeah I’m excited foreign [Music] coffee to have at the market it is espresso with steamed milk and it is so so delicious I love it every time after coffee I was getting a little hungry so it was time for breakfast I found a place called el burrito and it has a very cute dog themed decor and it’s also in Santa Catalina so it’s just straight up from the market not far at all I got the most beautiful ginger lemon and mint tea exactly what I needed to refresh myself and every sip was exactly how I imagined it to be and I paired it with some eggs benedict on sourdough toast foreign [Music] thing you have to note because we are in Spain the eating times can be different so you do want to get breakfast in quite early because then like a lot of restaurants don’t start serving food till one in the afternoon so if you don’t get breakfast and you’re hungry before one it can be difficult to find a meal so yeah definitely get out get some breakfast and there’s so much fresh options here yeah that was super good [Music] [Music] I am so incredibly happy to see the sun come out this is perfect because walking around in the rain is not as fun as walking around in the Sun and typically in December there’s a lot of good weather it’s just this so happens to be a little bit rainy this year apparently from what I’ve been told in November was like summer weather so I just missed it but yeah this is perfect this just makes you know sightseeing and walking around Palmas so much better the best part about this city is that it is a small City and all the main things you want to see are within walking distance you can enjoy the fresh air enjoy the sights and you know just cruise around buy a foot everywhere which is fantastic to me so here I am right by one of the docks and of course the ports here are aligned with super Yachts yeah it’s a big destination for super Yachts so you can come and you know observe them you could probably rent one if you really want to they’re a little pricey but you could do it here in Palma for sure but yeah they look pretty amazing as you can see right here is a little bar it’s closed in the winter a lot of things do close here in the winter so this is more of a seasonal bar [Music] check out that view [Music] yeah the mountain views here are just spectacular [Music] the Palma Cathedral the staple landmark building in Palma is always beautiful it never loses that Majestic feeling and it always just feels so yeah magical and I love that they are these benches built into the walls right in front of the cathedral so you can bring you know a little picnic if you like maybe some Vino and you can sit there and enjoy the view and yeah just enjoy the ambiance [Music] I love coming to this spot when there’s live music on that stage there and there’s seating down there and people come out and enjoy the fresh air there are so many talented musicians in Majorca those stairs right there are another route you can take to get to the beautiful Old Town to me it’s like every nook and crevice around the cathedral has something to be admired I mean even this little pond so cute thank you foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign if you like sitting in Parks you’re gonna find plenty of parks in Palma there’s so many tucked away cute little like areas that you can just sit and enjoy take a book read and yeah just enjoy the Ambiance that this City offers so right now I’m right beside the cathedral and in these little like Gardens with the beautiful fountains it’s like a lush little Oasis it’s a little more Lush in the summer and in the summer it’s a lot busier because there’s tons of people in here selling stuff um so it’s like super busy in the summer but right now it’s just very peaceful and tranquil and you can hear the breeze and the trees it’s so nice foreign you definitely can’t miss out on the amazing patisseries while you’re here you know what I came into this one when it was fully stocked like this and later on in the day I came back to take a peek and pretty much everything was sold and I’m sure you can see why but also look how cute those little pigs are this is LA rambla and at various times of the year you will find markets set up like right now and it’s also the perfect place to come if you want to buy flowers because all the flower markets are always here the Bell is such a cool spot it’s a bookstore and cafe and right down in the corner there is antakari and also very cool spot I remember they used to have music downstairs but great places to come and chill Plaza Espana is kind of like at the top of the old town but it’s also where you will find directly across the street the train and bus station that takes you all over the island Plaza mayor is another cool spot that has loads of restaurants and bars and as you can see different times a year also has Market setup here we are walking through the old town and I love walking through the old town and it’s full of amazing shopping streets because you’re never gonna have a hard time shopping in balma there’s so many good stores and so many cool Apartments to look at yeah I just love going for walks in this area Pleasant court is another one of my favorite little squares and it’s right by the town hall so it’s super Central in the city but also a very Charming spot [Music] you know it’s been a full morning of me walking around Palma I might as well sit and enjoy a little glass of Cava by the fire the best part about Terraces in the winter here in Palma is that pretty much every Terrace has fireplaces so even when it’s chilly outside because at nighttime it does tend to get chilly even some days we always have a fireplace to keep warm so you can still enjoy that outdoor Ambiance and yeah sit there with your friends I love it and then there’s the Olive Tree and the Olive Tree is a staple of this Plaza so if anyone ever says meet me by the Olive Tree into the Olive Tree right here in Plaza Court that they’re referring to [Music] foreign [Music] I love popping into this little place it’s Bodega conrigo and I just love the decor it’s very small and you have this tiny little stairs to go up to get upstairs here and it’s just kind of like a private little area and I just like to come chill have a Canya and yeah so I indulged in a little bit of bread and aioli even though I’ve been having too much brand aioli but it’s so good foreign [Music] the weather has taken a beautiful turn for the better so it’s no longer rainy it’s like blue skies it is so beautiful this is how I wanted Palmer to be so I’m happy that it is but I’m about to take myself out for lunch I’m gonna get a menu dildo because that is one of the best bangs for your buck when you were in Spain you get a set menu usually three or four courses includes a beverage and usually it’s about 15 Euros so yeah I’m excited to find a place I ended up choosing a vegan restaurant only because I feel like I could use some vegetables first course of my lunch was a couscous vegetable salad foreign [Music] course was split pea soup and of course there was no way I couldn’t try a piece of their delicious looking bread and dip it in My Soup even though I said I was not gonna have any more bread my third course was quinoa with more delicious vegetables and some sort of sauce my last and final course was this decadent vegan carrot cake and oh my gosh the flavors were unreal that menu Delia was honestly amazing like every bite that I took incredible I loved it the problem is I am so so full now that’s the thing you will be stopped after menudothia it is the best value but oh also the most filling foreign [Music] I hit a massive wall I went for a walk because you know the best thing to do here in Palma after a big meal is to go for a walk and just there’s just endless streets to go down so many things to take in but since I hit a wall I decided I need to stop a free coffee and I love all the cafes you can find these clean little streets so I found one of my favorite little spots and I’m enjoying a little bit of me time and coffee while I digest my lunch the born is definitely one of my absolute favorite places to come there’s cafes there and you’re surrounded by shopping and there’s always something cool going on in the born like these big bubbles or live music or just people doing cool stuff yeah I’ll definitely love this spot foreign [Music] you can’t be here and not come for an evening stroll to take in the beautiful lights because the city is pure magic in December they really go all out with their decorations and with the lighting and when you’re walking through the city you feel like you’re in a fairy tale so yeah one of my favorite things to do in the evening is just to come for a walk and take in all the because they have this beautiful garden in the back even in the main area it’s just stunning and watching the birds have a little bath also you know super cute adds to the ambiance I don’t know why but I love the espresso martinis and Palma more than anywhere else what’s even better is when you have one of your favorite long time friends come down and enjoy the espresso martini with you I can definitely say Palma is one of the most beautiful cities in the world you can see why it’s one of my favorite places and it is a bucket list must no matter what time of year this city is going to be Palma de Mallorca is definitely one of the best winter destination in the world. This stunning capitol city in the Mediterranean is full of vibrancy, culture and impeccable lifestyle. The best part is you can tour the city by foot and see all the best places, while enjoying cafe’s and restaurants along the way. Winter is absolutely my favorite time to be in the city, and there is much less tourists then in the summer.
