We hike to the top of Tungsten Peak, just west of the town of Bishop in California. This is a short and sweet hike, with a magnificent 360 degree view. To the south and west, Sierra Nevada, including peaks such as Mt. Darwin, Mt. Humphreys, and Mt. Tom. To the north, Round Valley and Volcanic Tableland. To the east, White Mountain and the town of Bishop. The hike is moderately difficult, steep and sandy in places, but with no life threatening sections. It’s a perfect short hike if you want to enjoy epic views and escape the crowd!
