The Basque people and their language may well be the oldest in europe, pre dating the Celts and the Romans. I investigate whether they know of the fountain of youth. Rebecca Ezquerro helps me on my search

San Sebastian, one of my favourites spots on this earth and lucky enough to have just come home from holiday there. Great scenery, great food, great drinking, but best of all are the awesome people who live there. Put these all together and you are in paradise.

My mom grew up in San Sebastian her entire life and then came to the US for college and married my dad who is from Ohio, haha. But we go to San Sebastián every year during the summer for 3 months. It's wonderful, if anyone plans on going there… The beaches, people, food, culture. Everything is wonderful. One of my favorite places on earth! Aupa Donosti!

I suppose my ancestors, who came from this region, must have been very poor. It must have been really difficult to leave this beautiful region and go across the Atlantic to Mexico and start a new life.
I've been thinking of living there.. I've scoped out a place up in the hills .. the question is Aussie … how hard is it to communicate ??? I only have the tongue for english. although I do know that French sort of usage. .;-)

Aww..I was gonna try and study abroad here. But you lost me with the whole "allll old people everywhere" thing. lol
@JoeBird76 I studied there and it was perfect! There are young people as well, as there are two universities in the town! A great place to live 🙂

It's called Donosti, not San Sebastian, and it is not Spain. It's part of The Basque Country!!
I'm portuguese and i've been in San Sebastian this summer and it's AMAZING! i want to live there!
