American Friends of the Prado Museum, thanks to the generosity of The Engh Foundation, has helped fund the remodeling of the north Ionic Gallery of the Villanueva building as a new display for sculpture and decorative arts in the permanent collection of the Museo del Prado.
The resulting gallery underlines the importance of this historical collection and incorporates 56 outstanding works, originating from the Spanish Royal Collection, that span over 20 centuries of history from Ancient Egypt and the Roman world to the Renaissance and Baroque.
